Good to the Last Bite Brownies

February 12, 2012

Who doesn’t love brownies and all their fudgy chewy goodness? And brownie mixes are an amazing timesaver.

But if you want to make them even more heavenly, just add a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry: chocolate chips, nuts, and coconut.

You can whip these together in under 10 minutes, plus 30 minutes in the oven. They won’t dissapoint!

You’ll Need:

1 box brownie mix

Additional ingredients listed on brownie package directions (usually an egg, water & vegetable oil)

3/4 cup chocolate chips – flavor of your choice

3/4 cup roughly chopped walnuts and/or pecans

1 egg

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup hot water

1/2 cup flour

3/4 cup sweetened flaked coconut

2 mixing bowls

2 mixing spoons

A brownie pan

Preheat the oven & prepare the pan according to package directions.

In one of the bowls, combine the brownie mix & its required additional ingredients according to package directions & then add in the chocolate chips & nuts. Spread in the prepared pan.

In the other bowl, combine the egg, sugar, hot water, flour & coconut.

Drop the coconut mixture by tablespoon evenly around the top of the brownie batter.

Bake according to brownie package directions and cool before serving.
